Hi everyone. i have a qustion,

I used the tool available on the CONTAM website to convert an EPW file to WTH format. However, I noticed that the tool generates weather data for a single year only. In contrast, the EPW file I use contains the average data from the past 10 years.

Is it possible to obtain a WTH file that represents multi-year average data? If so, I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to access such data.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Moujan

While it is unclear with which EPW file you are working, it is typical that the files contain entries for one year, e.g., 8760 hours of data.

However, it is also common that each entry represents a “typical” value for some period of time, e.g., data for a Typical Meteorological Year (TMY).
You can find out more about TMY data via a literature search (or here https://nsrdb.nrel.gov/data-sets/tmy).

The EPWtoWTH converter simply takes data in the EPW file and rearranges it into a WTH file without modifying the values themselves.

Once you have WTH file formatted correctly, you can use a spreadsheet or other tool to populate the data as you desire.
