We are less than three weeks away from the Standards and Performance Metrics for On-Road Automated Vehicles Workshop (September 5-8, 2023). This free, virtual workshop will bring together the automated vehicle community to update you on NIST’s recent work in the area, provide a forum for feedback, and set a path forward to ensure that NIST’s efforts in developing standards and performance metrics provide the greatest value to the community. NIST’s focus areas have been on AV perception, communication, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and on the interaction among these systems.

This is the second in a series of workshops. The first, which was held In March 2022, was attended by over 800 people. The workshop report can be found at https://www.nist.gov/news-events/events/2022/03/standards-and-performance-metrics-road-autonomous-vehicles

We are honored to announce that Congresswoman Haley Stevens will be providing opening remarks at the workshop.

In addition, pre-read material is now available on the workshop website (https://www.nist.gov/news-events/events/2023/09/standards-and-performance-metrics-road-automated-vehicles-workshop). We encourage participants to review the material before attending.

If interested in attending, you can find more information and register at https://www.nist.gov/news-events/events/2023/09/standards-and-performance-metrics-road-automated-vehicles-workshop. Confirmed keynote speakers include:
