Feature request: rename a tag

I couldn't find any way to rename a tag. This would be very useful, especially if you have hundreds of items stored with a tag and you want them to all have the renamed tag instead.

It's not on the product roadmap. However it's the sort of thing that can be handled with a separate API-based tool. I've thought of adding it to this one -- https://jonudell.info/h/facet.html?facet=tag&mode=documents&search=h_repo -- but would be happy to advise someone who wants to do a standalone tag renamer. 

Not many users rely on tag naming conventions, but for those of us who do, it's important to be able to reshape an evolving tag namespace!

Thanks for the feedback Aurelien, I can see this being useful. I'm afraid we at Hypothesis probably won't get around to it ourselves soon due to other commitments, but this is something which could be potentially implemented (at least initially) as a third-party tool using our API.

    I was looking for the same functionality, so I put together a form that should do the trick. Please feel free to give it a spin and let me know if it suffices for your purposes. (It's part of a larger Express application, the source code of which I'll try to make available on GitHub soon.)
