Avanes "Euroopa horisondi" agroökoloogia partnerluse (European Partnership on accelerating farming systems transition through agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructures, AGROECOLOGY) kolmas taotlusvoor teemal „Fostering plant and animal
genetic diversity and empowering farmers to accelerate the agroecological transition“.
Taotlusvooru teemad:
- Enhancing the genetic diversity of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
Esitatavad taotlused peavad käsitlema vähemalt üht alateemat:
- Enhancing the use of genotypes adapted to specific environmental conditions to improve resilience and performance
- Plant breeding for agroecological transitions
- Animal breeding for agroecological transitions
- Co-breeding for animal-plant integration in agroecological systems
- Breeding for the agroecological transition and the transition of the entire food system
- Strengthening farmer’s involvement and empowerment in the transition towards agroecology
Esitatavad taotlused peavad käsitlema vähemalt üht alateemat:
Eesti osalejaid rahastab Eesti Teadusagentuur. Maksimaalne toetus Eesti osalejatele ühes projektis on 150 000 eurot tavapartnerile või 300 000 eurot kui Eesti taotleja on projekti koordinaator. Eesti Teadusagentuuri eelarve tuleb Mobilitas 3.0 vahenditest.
Eesti osaprojekti kulud peavad olema tehtud 31.08.2029.
Projektis peab osalema vähemalt kolm partnerit kolmest erinevast osalevast riigist. Kõik partnerid peavad vastama oma riigi rahastava organisatsiooni kehtestatud nõuetele.

The third call of the Horizon Europe Agroecology partnership (European Partnership on accelerating farming systems transition through agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructures, AGROECOLOGY) on the topic „Fostering plant and animal genetic diversity
and empowering farmers to accelerate the agroecological transition“ is now open.
Call Topics:
Topic 1: Enhancing the genetic diversity of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
Proposals submitted to this Topic are expected to choose at least one of the following themes:
- Enhancing the use of genotypes adapted to specific environmental conditions to improve resilience and performance
- Plant breeding for agroecological transitions
- Animal breeding for agroecological transitions
- Co-breeding for animal-plant integration in agroecological systems
- Breeding for the agroecological transition and the transition of the entire food system
Topic 2: Strengthening farmer’s involvement and empowerment in the transition towards agroecology
Proposals submitted to this Topic are expected to choose at least one of the following themes:
- Farmers communities and motivations for engagement
- Collective action, peer learning, and social innovation
- Farm work organisation and working conditions
- Role of policies, advisory services, and AKIS
Estonian partner(s) in a successful project will be funded by the Estonian Research Council (ETAG). The maximum requested budget for the Estonian partner(s) participating in one project, if all Estonian partners participate as regular partners, is 150 000 euros per
project. If the Project Coordinator is from an Estonian research organisation, the requested budget for the Estonian sub-project may be up to 300 000 euros. (If several Estonian partners participate in a project coordinated by an Estonian partner, the maximum
requested budget of all Estonian partners in the project is still 300 000 euros.)
Estonian applicants have to take into account that all project-related costs must be incurred no later than 31.08.2029, i.e. the Estonian partner’s activities must be completed by that time.
Research consortia should consist of a minimum of three partners requesting funding from at least three different countries and Funding Parties from this co-funded call. All partners must meet the requirements of their national funding organization.
The call is conducted as a two-step-procedure:
- Deadline for pre-proposal submission is 18 February 2026, 14:00h CET
- Deadline for full proposal submission is 8 July 2026, 14:00h CEST
