Hi all,
Is any UCLA student or someone living in the area able and willing to do some programming for the normal remuneration? I have a program written in Visual BASIC which I would like to update, I am not sure to what: Visual BASIC.net?, Visual C.net? something else? It seems to me that updating to Visual BASIC .net would be the easier way, requiring less modifications on the old code. The old code barely runs due to changes in hardware, so it is better to update the software. I am willing to update some of the hardware too, and some I already did. This latter, the hardware, includes position control using a x-z table under the control of two stepper motors, and still images acquired with a frame grabber, which could be upgraded to another model with USB interface, instead of a PCI card. Then there is the mathematical manipulation of the data (coming from the frame grabber, the still pictures), which will be the simplest part, because this does not change.
