Hi Luggers,

I took a box with windows 10 installed, downloaded Ubuntu 20.04 and tried to install Ubuntu on top of it, with both on, to choose at boot time, dual boot.  No luck, because Ubuntu could not see Windows 10 installed.

I followed some hints found on the web, tried to fix within win 10 some possible corrupted sectors on the hard drive, no luck, but on the process the mouse & keyboard became non-functional, which took me a few hours to fix.  I am now suspecting that this problem is created on purpose by MicroSoft, both the disabling of the mouse&keyboard, to punish me for daring to use Ubuntu, and the impossibility to add Ubuntu to the system .

I avoid all details here because I do not know if this is being read, but if there is any Lugger out there that want to discuss it with me I will add the details.  Also, at this time I have not yet succeeded in making a dual boot.

Thanks and best

Sergio

I am interested. I also want to buy a Windows 10 computer and add Ubuntu. Thanks for the info.
