Hi everyone,
I've got a damaged hard drive that needs professional recovery. I've tried the usual troubleshooting steps, but it seems I need expert help. it appears that the electronics on the drive are the issue. Does anyone have recommendations for a reliable data recovery service?

Thanks
Pat

If the control card on the drive is dead or malfunctioning, grabbing one from an identical drive can resolve the problem. With a bit of luck.

Get a second hand drive and move its board to your drive, if that is possible to do.

Worth a look..

I was just about to suggest the same.  I had this happen a couple of years ago and on a whim tried this... the drive came back to life and was fully functional!
