In New York, you have the right to identity documents that match your gender identity. Join us for an overview of the Suffolk County Supreme Court Law Library and Help Center, with an emphasis on the process for name change and/or sex/gender designation change petitions. The Gender Recognition Act, signed into law in 2021, has made it easier and safer to change the name and gender marker on New York State issued documents. We will cover resources available at the Law Library and Help Center, as well as virtual resources that are accessible at the public library. Learn how librarians and library staff can assist patrons to gather information, understand helpful definitions, and find forms before coming to court.

Designed to foster creativity, learning, and hands-on exploration, the Innovation Space features Prusa and Ultimaker 3D printers, a Carbide 3D Shapeoko CNC Router, an Epilog FusionEdge laser engraver, and the xTool F1 laser engraver. The space also offers sublimation and heat press tools, a variety of crafting and fabrication machines, and a fully equipped media recording studio. CEUs will be awarded.
