FROM INSIGHT TO ACTION:

Trauma-Informed Approaches to Self-Care

Friday, June 13, 12:00 - 1:00pm

This workshop explores the intersection of trauma-informed care, self-care, and self-regulation, emphasizing their collective role in fostering resilience and well-being. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of trauma, implement self-care strategies, and apply self-regulation techniques to enhance personal and professional well-being.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn the key principles of trauma-informed care and how to apply them
  • Create a mini self-care plan that supports your well-being
  • Practice techniques like mindfulness and grounding to manage stress.

Presenter: Shasta Savage is a trainer, speaker, consultant, leadership coach and yoga/mindfulness instructor. With a background in the trauma-informed lens and human rights perspective, she provides support on topics such as DEIJA, leadership development, organizational development, employee well-being, self- and community-care. She integrates data-driven and leading/promising practices with an intersectional approach to support the greatest outcomes.
