Join us for the LI Library Tabletop Group January 26th!

Hi everyone!

Wishing a Happy New Year to all at the beginning of another busy year. If you haven't heard of us yet, we are the Long Island Library Tabletop Group, a small group of library staff who play tabletop roleplaying games (such as Dungeons and Dragons) together virtually. Our group is holding the first general body meeting on January 26th at 7:30PM EST, where we will greet new members, discuss the games we've been playing, and share tips on hosting tabletop games in our unique library spaces. This meeting will be held in our group's Discord server.

Some quick updates on what's been going on since we sent out our initial survey:

• We hosted two information sessions about the group and got to meet a few of you!
• We've held a session zero for a 5^th edition Dungeons & Dragons campaign run by yours truly called "The Moonlight Traveling Troupe" which will officially begin its monthly sessions on February 2nd. Huzzah!
• We've also held a session zero for a Shadowrun 6e campaign run by Ed which will be meeting again for an additional session zero (focusing on character building) on January 29^th at 8PM!

If you missed any of those meetings but would still like to participate, there's still time to reach out. For the Moonlight Troupe game, please reach out to Summer about participating, and Ed Rivera for Shadowrun (our contacts are listed below). If you're interested in starting another game, don't be afraid to reach out — we are more than happy to help facilitate and get the campaign (or one-shot) started.

If you're interested in joining our discord server to chat more with us, the invite is always open. We'll be sending out a monthly newsletter to keep everyone posted about the exciting stuff we're working on. Until then,
