Hi all ;

am trying to compile the 1.2 new release  but keep getting :

[error] (UtilsForModels/compile:compileIncremental) javac returned nonzero exit code
[error] (Serialize/compile:compileIncremental) javac returned nonzero exit code
[error] (KamanjaBase/compile:compileIncremental) javac returned nonzero exit code
        [error] Total time: 1691 s, completed Dec 14, 2015 12:46:23 PM

I try to compile Kamanja 1.1 on the same machine it works fine , also spring8 branch is compiled fine but I can't find the "kamanja" script in the bin directory , dev branch freeze when updating the "StorageManager" .

Thnaks

Can you post what versions of sbt, scala & java are you using? That is always helpful for compilation issues.

Just asked william, and all the 1.2 models compile fine for him..

Can you paste the entire compile log? There should be errors prior to the messages that you sited

Hi  ,
i found the cause of the problem , i use "open jdk 1.7" on my VM  , so i switch to "oracle jdk 1.7" and everything works fine , reading more about the issue it looks like there is a problem with "sbt" and "open jdk" , i think we should point that on the installation document .

Thanks

Hi Saleh,
kamanja.org already says to get the JDK from:

Which installation doc are you referring to?
thanks,
alison

Hi Alison ,

I mean if java is already installed , it should be removed and then install the correct jdk  .

Thanks
Saleh

Hi Saleh,
I see. Thank you for the tip! I will find a place to put it on kamanja.org so folks won't have the trouble you ran into.
thanks again,
alison
