Dear Biology Students,
See below for a note from the PSTAT Advising Office. If you are a declared biology major (including pre-biology), you have access to PSTAT 5LS only in Pass 1 and Pass 2. PSTAT 5A will open to biology majors in Pass 3. Note that you are not eligible to earn units for PSTAT 5A/5LS if you have Statistics AP Exam credit or have completed other introductory statistics courses.

We are currently receiving a high volume of requests from students seeking entry into PSTAT 5A or 5LS, citing major requirements as their reasoning.
Please note that for PSTAT 5LS, students who are not in a Life Sciences-esque major (MCDB, ENVST, PSY, EEMB, GEOG, CRSTU, or CHEM) only have access to enroll during Pass 3. All other majors should enroll in PSTAT 5A and have access during all pass times.
