a write up of your steps by chance or screenshots to running the client via the ruby

client? i wanted to use it to create my certs so i can upload the certificates to my cpanel on godaddy's hosting system.

Hi Charles,

There an article that showed up on hacker news not long ago on how to do this with my library:

The client is meant to be used as part of a Ruby infrastructure. In that sense its more a library than a regular client but as you can see from the article you can script a client pretty easily with it.

Another alternative would be to look in the official LE client, I believe they have a manual mode.

I think that would also fit your need

For anything cpanel / godaddy related... I'm not the person that can help you.
