LEMC Week of Prayer starts Monday!

Hey LEMC Family!

Council and Staff have decided to spend a week in prayer next week (August 11-15), to pray together for LEMC currently and into the future! As I've heard one leader say: "Why would we rely on our own strength, when we can tap into the resources of heaven?" When we pray, God works. And we want to be moved by His Spirit in how we lead LEMC. Jesus is the true and only Head of the Church!

Would you join us?

I've attached a guide to fasting, if you choose to do so (I recommend trying if you never have!), which comes from a great book I highly recommend, called "Lead with Prayer: The Spiritual Habits of World-Changing Leaders". You can buy a copy here!

And I've attached the full "Week of Prayer Guide", which lays out what to pray for each day! The goal is to spend 15min to 1hour daily in prayer, for 5 days, over 5 different prayer focuses.

At the end of the week, you can send any of your thoughts / what came to mind during prayer (encouragement, Scriptures, feelings, ideas), as a reply to this email! That way it's like we're praying together!
