Our Caller: Annie Kidwell

Annie Kidwell (they/them) is a Boston-based dancer, contra caller, and choreographer.  Originally from Louisville KY, they have traveled from

here to there finding their way through west coast swing, blues, contact improv, fusion, and of course contra dancing.  They are well known for

their engaging instruction and abilities to create joyful space for both new and experienced dancers.

The band:  Here on the Hill

Founded in Cambridge Massachusetts in the fall of 2024, Here on the Hill a dynamic contra and folk duo featuring Tory Horner and Rose Powell.

With Tory on fiddle and Rose on guitar, the duo mixes classic New England contra tunes, old-time tunes, modern gems, and original tunes together, 

creating a new and bold sound that moves dancers and listeners alike.  

Time: 7-10 PM with a beginner lesson at 6:30

General Admission: $15- $20 / students $8-$12 

No one turned away due to lack of funds

Dances will be called with the gender-free role terms "Larks & Robins."

This dance is mask-optional.

If you’re not feeling well, please stay home and join us next month.

Remember to bring soft-soled, non-marking shoes to protect the wooden dance floor.

Please refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes, and other highly scented products.

All events are smoke, drug, and alcohol free!!
