Second Dancing Queer History Open Studio This Saturday June 27 at 4 pm

Louise Siddons is holding a second open studio this Saturday June 27, as well as calling for our very own JP ECD next Tue June 30.

"I’m a UK-based caller, in Boston for six weeks doing creative research into LGBTQ+ dance history — everything from the stories behind 17th-century dances to making art out of the patterns we dance.

At the Tuesday English dance next week I’ll be calling some of the dances I’ve found that are part of that queer history, with great music from Carol, Jean, and Ron. 

And if you want to know more about the art-making bit, I’d love to see you at my open studio this Saturday at 4pm — see the attached flyer. We’ll have music thanks to my wife Linda and some friends, and opportunities to participate in making art."

It's a rare treat to have international guests visit our community, so please do join us on Tuesday night if you can. We'd love to see you on the dance floor!
