Hello, fellow dancers,

I hope you’re all having a pleasant and (if you celebrate) festive Thanksgiving. You’ll need to work off all those calories, and what better way to do that than with an evening of contra?

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 26, 7:30-10:30 PM
WHO: Caller: Will Mentor; Music: Stomp Rocket
WHERE: First Church (U-U) of Jamaica Plain, Centre & Eliot Sts.

We have many “favorite” callers, but Will Mentor must be at or near the top of the list, and Stomp Rocket (Dave Langford, fiddle; Glen Loper, mandolin; and Bethany Waikman, guitar) is a really hot band. You don’t want to miss this one! You can also help wish our long-time friend (and active organizer) Arthur Prokosch a happy birthday, so come on out and dance!

–Robert

Proof of vaccination (including booster, if eligible) is required for admission to the dance. Any one of (1) vaccination card, (2) a photograph of a vaccination card, or (3) a digital record of vaccination is acceptable.

Masks must be worn (over your mouth and nose) in the hall at all times, except when sipping water. We will have some available in case you forget to bring yours. (Callers and musicians may be maskless while performing.)

If you’re not feeling well or have a rash, please stay home.

We always need volunteers to help set up and run the dance. If you’d like to help, contact b...@contracorner.com.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Admission is $5.00-$15.00 (sliding scale). Free for children 12 and under.

We're at the First Church Unitarian-Universalist in downtown Jamaica
Plain, on Eliot St. at the corner of Centre St., opposite the monument.

Please bring soft-soled shoes.
