Hi,

I have got a couple of isolate genome in my private dataset and would like to share with colleagues. Can you please let me know how to share those genomes?

Best
Deepak

I would recommend using SEQUIN to create a GenBank entry for each sequence.  Then you can put the entries in a data sharing but private service, like DropBox.
Or, if you want more people to be able to see them, you can send them to GenBank.  Sequences in GenBank do not need to have a peer-reviewed publication.
The GenBank entry tool at the HIV Databases can help make good GenBank and SEQUIN entries.

I assume that you want to share private genomes in IMG with colleagues. You have 2 options:

1. Share genomes through IMG Submission UI. Check FAQ Q3: https://img.jgi.doe.gov/cgi-bin/submit/main.cgi?section=FAQ&page=faqMain

2. Create an IMG User Group and then share genomes from there. There is a User Guide at the right upper corner of MyIMG page.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for you reply. Colleagues wanted to use the IMG platform to analyse the genomes.

Cheers
Deepak
