Hi All,

I am trying to find an efficient way download all faa files that originate from all metagenomic samples. It seems that I can download the faa files one by one
(for example, for a specific metagenomic sample, I can download all proteins from: http://genome.jgi.doe.gov/pages/dynamicOrganismDownload.jsf?organism=IMG_3300001422, inside IMG data),
but I haven't found a way to do it systematically for all metagenomic samples.

Could anyone help me on this?
Thanks very much,
Hila

IMG's metagenome library is pretty vast and it is quite challenging for us to distribute data on any aggregation levels other than that of a single metagenome. Our downloadable data is distributed across various forms of storage and are streamlined for user access through the JGI Portal System. For users with exceptionally strong and reliable connections, JGI portals offer Globus endpoints for bulk downloads of the nature you are looking for - although I am not sure if the specific use case is supported. For more information please read - http://genome.jgi.doe.gov/help/download.jsf

Best,
Manoj
