Hello,

I have a reference strain already within IMG/ER and from which we assembled three additional genomes of closely related strains, with high degree of synteny among the strains. The strains have an average pairwise similarity of ~97%.

We would like to conduct some comparative genomic analysis and we have spent some time to manually curate the annotation of the reference strain. Would you recommend to do "de novo" annotations with these newly assembled genomes through IMG/ER, or is there a way to build on top of the annotation of the reference strain within the system?

Thank you for your time,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

You can submit your version using the IMG Submission Tool. You are also welcome to add your own MyIMG annotations to existing genomes. All MyIMG annotations that are set to public are visible to other IMG users.
