GASNet-2024.5.0.tar.gz fails to compile on fedora 42

Hello there,
Today, I downloaded the GASNet-2024.5.0.tar.gz file and am trying to build it on
a Fedora 42 system, but it fails at the make stage (see attachments).
Please, any suggestions for resolving this?

Jorge,

This is a known incompatibility with behavior changes in the GCC-15 release.

Please see Bug 4787 - GCC-15 errors and warnings regarding incompatible pointers-to-function

That bug report suggests configuring using --with-cflags=-std=c17 as the simplest solution.

With that flag, the build returned to normal.
It would be worth adding it to the installation instructions.
