The Computer Languages and System Software (CLaSS) group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is pleased to announce the latest release of GASNet-EX, now available for download from gasnet.lbl.gov.  Changes since the previous release are described in the ChangeLog.


Beyond the usual bug fixes, some highlights of this release include:

  • Enhancements (announced in June) to mechanisms for tolerance of network congestion

  • New support for offload of atomic operations to InfiniBand NICs

  • New support to automate topology-aware assignment of InfiniBand NICs to processes on a multi-rail system

  • Updates for compatibility with more recent versions of compilers and network stacks
