Hi there,

I think I've got the hang of some of the functionalities of apollo 2.6.5 (I'm running it with Apache Tomcat 8.5.9), but when I went to export the .gff of an annotation, I noticed the only features apollo had for the model were gene, mRNA, CDS, and exon. On the two exons of my gene model, I'd like to specify five_prime_UTR and three_prime_UTR. Is there an easy way to do this within apollo?

Thanks so much for all your help!

Kindly,
Charity

Hi Charity,

I don't think there is a way to import or export the five/three_prime_UTRs in Apollo.

Best,
Garrett

Hi Garrett,

Gotcha - I appreciate the response. At the end of the day, a user should be able to deduce where the UTRs are based on how much of the first and last exon aren't included in the CDS - so I'm not terribly worried about it.

Thanks again - you all have been very helpful!

Kindly,
Charity
