Dear Colleagues,
The U.S. Higgs Factory Coordination Consortium for Accelerator will hold its first workshop on January 15-16, 2025 at Fermilab. The agenda will be posted shortly on the indico website: https://indico.fnal.gov/event/67453/ (under construction).
The Higgs Factory Coordination Consortium (HFCC) was created by DOE and NSF to provide strategic direction and leadership for the U.S. community to engage, shape, and thereby advance the development of the Physics, Experiments, and Detectors (PED) and the Accelerator (A) program for a potential future Higgs Factory; and to ensure cooperation with our partners in the international program.
The workshop has the following purpose:
1) Discussion of the near term needs for Higgs Factories accelerator R&D.
2) Initial discussion on the U.S. HFCC-A input to ESPP, both technical and strategic.
3) Discussion on US expression of interest to international partners.
The workshop will include an introduction to the US HFCC-A (structure, goals, activities), summary of the FCC and ILC projects, technical discussions on the potential contributions from the seven working groups (beam physics, diagnostic & instrumentation, RF systems, magnets systems, Machine & Detector Interface, Infrastructure & Engineering, Integration & Sustainability), and an early career session.
More information about the workshop, including the website, is forthcoming.
To sign up for the us-hfcc-acc mailing list (us-hf...@cern.ch), follow the instructions here.
