Exploring Data-Focused Research across the Department of Energy

We’re excited to invite you to the sixth Conference on Data Analysis, CoDA 2022, to be held in person April 5-7, 2022 in downtown Santa Fe. CoDA highlights challenging data-driven problems of interest to the Department of Energy (DOE). Talks and posters feature research from the DOE national laboratories, academia, and industry.

 

This year’s invited sessions include speakers from 11 national laboratories and 7 universities and span a range of methods and applications:

  • Blowing Stuff Up on Purpose: Data Analysis of Explosions
  • Uncertainty Quantification for Machine Learning
  • Natural Language Processing in the Department of Energy
  • Adversarial Machine Learning and ML-based Data Augmentation
  • The Art of Data Science
  • Let There Be Data: Analyzing Data from Lasers and Light Sources

A lunchtime short course on counter-adversarial machine learning is included in your registration fee.

 

Call for posters: Abstracts due March 1, 2022. We welcome poster presentations on any data-driven research.

  • Publication opportunity: All presenters are invited to submit a manuscript after the conference for consideration in a peer reviewed special issue of Statistical Analysis and Data Mining.
  • Student poster prizes: The ASA will sponsor student poster prizes -- $400 first place, $100 second place.

 

Registration: Opens in December 2021. $295 regular participant, $155 full-time student

 

Key dates:

  • December 1, 2021: If you work at a national lab or other DOE entity, submit your travel request to your organization by this date
  • March 1, 2022: Poster abstracts due
  • April 5-7, 2022: CoDA!
  • June 13, 2022: To be considered for the special CoDA journal issue, submit your manuscript by this date
