Hi all,
We have posted updated ICE data covering roughly an additional month; it now covers Sep. 2023 through July 29, 2025. As before, the dataset was obtained through a FOIA lawsuit against ICE brought
by the UCLA Center for Immigration Law and Policy, represented by Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP and the Law Office of Amber Qureshi.
The new dataset includes tables tracking all ICE encounters, detainers, arrests, and detentions. It does not include a removals table because that table contained significant errors. For removals analysis, the late June release remains the best option, although we continue to urge caution and that release only covers 2025. (Please avoid use of the earlier, early June removals table, which we now believe is incomplete.)
As always, we welcome thoughts about the datasets and their shortcomings.
Best,
David
