LAPS School Board Members and Dr. Steinhaus,
I respectfully request that you add a COVID-19 status update to all future Board Meetings for the duration of the pandemic. These updates should include summaries of challenges and successes, exposures, infections, quarantines, closures, enrollment and staff changes, PPE and cleaning supply inventory, NMPED and NMDOH directives, etc.
The COVID-19 pandemic is far from over and our community needs to know that the School Board is continuously kept informed of how LAPS is affected and responding.
Even if an update is "no change since last update", these touchstones are essential. If you don't keep abreast of the evolving situation, then you will be surprised by what should have been foreseeable situations and you will be forced into making uninformed, yet time-sensitive and critical, decisions in the future.
