I think adding additional LGBTQ+ materials in our schools at all age levels is fantastic. We know we have LGBTQ+ kids in all of our schools and we know that it is an identity and not a life-style choice. Choosing to represent them in our literature just as we choose to represent other minority communities such as the disability communities and various ethnicities is vital to healthy schools.
