I recommend the Board establish effectiveness metrics for themselves as they represent our community. These can be shared with the public instead of the public making their own assumptions about how the board performs. You can start with simple to measure items like board attendance records and voting record of each vote made and how each member voted. This data is all available in meeting minutes, it just needs compiled. Think about other metrics that demonstrate how the efforts of the board make a difference for LAPS, or not. Invite the public to come up with other metrics they’d like to see.
Then make it visible to your community !!
