Request for 8:30am Elwmentary start time for SY 24/25

Hello Los Alamos School Board,

I am writing to request that the elementary start time remain at 8:30am. This allows my children to spend at least 2 hours with their dad in the evenings since he doesn't get home until 5:30pm.  He works at the lab.

With an earlier start time, my kids - who will be attending prek4 and 1st grade next school year - will either need to miss out on dad-time or get less sleep.  An 8:30am start time would allow my kids to keep the time they have with dad, as well as, maintain their current effective sleep schedule.
