LAMS re-entry concerns

To whom it may concern,

As a parent of a child who currently attends LAMS, I appreciate the opportunity to express my opposition to any type of in-person school re-entry whether Hybrid or not.  I strongly believe until we all have the opportunity to be vaccinated and establish herd immunity in our state, it isn't worth the risk, even if it is just a couple days in school a week.  All it takes is one second to unknowingly be exposed and transmit that exposure back to your family and others.

I completely understand and very much appreciate the efforts the schools have taken to ensure that all COVID-19 guidelines and safe practices have been met and that our CDC, NMDOH & PED officials believe the risk is low, however, I'm of the strong opinion that it's much safer for our children to continue their online learning from home, finish out the year and allow our state to immunize as many people as possible so that we can hopefully be back to some kind of "normal" by next fall.
