I disagree with having 25 extra days because, If you think about it, having 25 extra days probably won't help anyone. No one really wants to go to school because you have to wake up early, do work all day and then do it all again for like 180 days. That's a long time, and some months don't even have a holiday so you can't get the day off. Our teacher said that without summer your childhood is horrible because when you don't have a summer, you can't do the things that are for summer, like water balloons or swimming in a pool, but if we add 25 extra days that's basically taking are summer and throwing it out the window. We can't enjoy the things we love, like we always have.
First of all the teacher isn't going to really be teaching, she won't be teaching anyone because no one wants to come to school anyway. I'm not saying school is bad but school is the same thing over and over again. Because adding 25 days or 10 days is just ruining our childhood. We're going to have less days for the summer and we need summer to really be a kid. Because in the summer you do anything you want without having to worry about school work or going to school on the next day. Who even wants the extra days anyway. I mean yeah it might be good for people that need help but it's been a rough year, like come on now, first online then hybrid then back to online then thursday friday then finally in person with everybody there. It would not be pleasant to have an extra 25 days to take days out of our summer and no one would like it. Here are 3 reasons why I wouldn't want 25 more days: First waking up early is a drag, because when you get too school you're going to be too tired when you work. Third, this goes with the second, if you have good grades and we do the 20 extra days and we do work and we fail some we will worsen our grades. So we shouldn't have gone anyway
Now I'm going against this 25 extra days thing because I don't need it, now I know some people might want it, say like 90 kids want to go that way less than the other 500+ kids in this school, maybe we could make it if the kids want to go. If the kids don't want to, they don't have to. So we could make it optional. This would be better than making it mandatory. So instead of having fun with your family or playing with your friends you are in the classroom all day waiting to get out.
This is my argument, I think that having an extra 25 or 10 days to our school is a waste.Like I said, if they make it optional for the people they want to go or who are failing, that would be better. I would maybe want to come if I didn't have to work and we could just play games or go outside all day or something. But doing work in the summer is not that fun. Also it would be better if they gave us extra summer days to cover up the 25 extra days….Or just not go at all.
