Good Afternoon,
I am writing to express my concerns for the upcoming school year. When I first completed the survey, I was cautiously optimistic that it would be a safe option; however, after the recent increase in cases both locally and nationally I no longer feel it is a safe option for my family or our community to have in school option. I am not only concerned about my family but the teachers/staff and their family members as well.
If you begin online classes upfront, LAPS can focus on a path forward and can use resources to ensure the best education for your students, rather than spending the time on disease prevention and a possible mid year switch to all online learning that would be inevitable if the cases continue to rise.
