Covid - 19 Vaccines for Los Alamos Teachers

Dear Los Alamos County School Board Members,

This email is to implore you to advocate for ALL our teachers to receive the Covid -19 vaccinations!

It is particularly important that the elementary teachers, that have been working with groups of children for several weeks now, receive the vaccines as soon as possible.  You are aware that a fifth grade class at Mountain is in quarantine as their teacher has Covid -19.

I did not think that much could be done to get more vaccine from the State of New Mexico until I read the article in the Los Alamos Daily Post today (2/8/2021) by Stephen Younger.  It seems some of the distribution of vaccine in Los Alamos is going to the National Laboratory and/or to people that live in other counties.  I would ask you to look into this and if it is so, to direct these vaccines to our teachers.

Thank you for the work you do for education and our schools.  Please do all you can to ensure that our teachers, and in turn our children, are in a safe, healthy environment.
