To Whom It May Concern:
Will children with pre-existing conditions, e.g., diabetes, be able to continue remote learning with their teachers, i.e., NOT via the online school option?
**Masks should be strictly monitored and enforced, with requirements following the latest science-based guidance. I believe that this would require use of filters in any 2-layer cloth mask, i.e., filter placed in between the cloth layers, or use of N95 or KF94 masks, where the latter is approved by both the FDA and the Korean government’s version of the FDA, and KN95s only if they have NIOSH certification.**
It is not clear that the masks provided to students via the school or sports teams are adequate, likely not.
In addition, students could be required to wear face shields over their face masks. These are inexpensive and reusable.
What changes have been made in school ventilation to comply with recommendations for optimal ventilation?
