Hello there,
My name is Nora Haynes. I live in Los Alamos and my children go to Barranca Elementary school. Recently, Covid-19 seems to have run rampant through the schools and the handling of "close contact" has become less than impressive. I chose to vaccinate my children against the virus but their peers are not vaccinated. Although the unvaccinated kids have their "right to be unvaccinated", I am concerned with how contact tracing will be carried out. Will my vaccinated child have to quarantine if exposed to Covid? How can we ensure that the unvaccinated kids will not expose my vaccinated children to Covid? Is there a way to separate the unvaccinated children from the vaccinated children so that my kids will be safe at school? How can LAPS improve contact tracing so that we can protect the kids from the unvaccinated?
I know there have been many discussions in the past about Covid but it is an issue that concerns many of us all the time.
Thank you all so much,
Nora J Haynes
