Hi Kim, it is great to hear from you! Thank you for your e-mail, we had planned on sending out a News Release with current election information, so voters will be "Election Ready" that will encompass not only this, but some changes from last year's elections.

Please feel free to share anything else that might be helpful to the voters, we are always open to suggestions from our constituents.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Thank you for your valuable time. I hope you and yours are safe and healthy and remain so!

Best,
~NM

To All:

I understand that the School Board election districts do not align completely with the schools that students are assigned to attend. That can be quite confusing and misleading for voters, especially given the constant reference to districts based on elementary schools. For example, it's possible for your children to be assigned to attend Pinon but that your School Board voting district is actually for the "Chamisa" district. If this is correct, I hope the County and the current School Board will make it clear that voters should NOT rely on the monikers of "Pinon District", "Chamisa District", "Mountain District," etc and which school their child attends or attended. They need to check which district they are in for election purposes.

It would be useful for a map of these School Board districts to be published so voters are made aware of this issue.

Sincerely,
Kim Thomas
