Dr. Delfin

Dear Los Alamos School Board,

Thank you so much for hiring Dr. Delfin as our superintendent. I love his sense of humor, his positive attitude, and his leadership.

At the all-staff meeting on the first day of school, Dr. Delfin set a celebratory tone for the school year. I really appreciated his mission to find a future pathway for all our graduates that include the military, college, or a trade. I appreciated his self-deprecating humor.

Dr. Delfin has attended high school staff meetings and taken the time to listen to teachers. He came to our open house and spent ten minutes in my classroom listening to me. During the all-staff picnic, he sat on the ground with me, my colleagues, and our families, and listened to our stories.

I really feel that you have hired someone who is taking his time to listen to teachers. The morale at the high school has been very low over the past few years and I am feeling very optimistic that you have chosen someone like Dr. Delfin who is positive, enthusiastic, and compassionate toward us.
