I don't think the school board really understands what it will be like for teachers. According to our latest schedule (which changes daily), elementary teachers will be on the playground when kids arrive in the morning, watching kids at lunch, and have NO prep period. Our school has FAR fewer IA's this year, so teachers will be on duty more than ever. We don't even have IAs to take kids to the bathroom. We are already on the borderline of burnout. Having us working with no prep periods is extremely unrealistic and unsustainable.
