To whom it may concern,
I see that the search policy is being revisited today. Some students are unable to relay what happened during a search, or the reason for the search. Some children are nonspeaking, some kids struggle with spoken language or anxiety, and some kids are just inarticulate. It would be prudent to require written incident reports for all searches. This would be protective of the staff involved, as well as protective of all students.
