Dear Friends, Colleagues, Fans, Clients, and Family,

It's been almost a year since I sent my last message to you through this service. It's been a great year, with many performances, including not only my usual mixed bag of Southern California orchestra and show performances, but commissions for piano/vocal arrangements performed at Carnegie Hall and string arrangements for a European pop act performed overseas by members of a major symphonic orchestra. More details to follow.

A few months ago I had the pleasure of performing with Andrea Morricone's Amor Symphonic Orchestra, and, because Andrea wrote the love theme from Cinema Paradiso, which is included on my CD, I gave him a copy of it. He listened to it immediately and enjoyed it, and he especially appreciated the fact that on my CD he receives credit for the Cinema Paradiso love theme, and his father (Ennio Morricone) is credited for the main title theme. My performance of both themes has been played on K-Mozart radio by John Santana since the CD was released.

Anyway, since there are still a few copies available at the warehouse, I'm announcing an Early Black Friday Sale now through Sunday, November 9, 2014, which will allow you to get my Cinema Amore physical CD for only $9.99, exclusively through CDBaby - http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/johnsawoski . Now available digitally on  iTunesAmazonCDBaby, and more, I'd recommend the physical CD because of the high-resolution recording at EastWest and mastering at Capitol Mastering. (Also available at Amazon for slightly more money.) For a free sample, click here.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
John Sawoski

Cinema Amore CD by John Sawoski

Patricia Rice at Amazon.com says:  Light the candles, turn down the lights, and put Cinema Amore on your iPod . You are in for a brilliant performance of solo piano pieces. The repertoire may be eclectic yet hauntingly familiar, taken from some of the most iconic movies of this past generation as well as virtuosic classical pieces. .. Mr. Sawoski has the formidable ability to create orchestral sound from the piano. Always the melody sings out, while the harmonic support of his arrangements are sophisticated and elegant …  Particularly love “With Every Breath I Take” from City of Angels and the Chopin scherzo is a tour de force performance... Highly recommend this collection.

iTunes Customers say:

I love this album. It’s the kind of CD you put on on a Sunday afternoon after a hard week and it carries you off into the clouds... This is music from the heart.

Music that takes me to a different place. Beautifully combined, classics, contemporary, and popular music in a fashion that’s got to make you feel good.
