In other news, the pre-pandemic whirlwind of recording sessions, performances, writing projects, and producing projects is resuming!

Here's some information about Judy Whitmore's new jazz album "Isn’t It Romantic," released September 14, 2022, which I produced. It was a pleasure to work with so many distinguished and excellent colleagues on that project, especially Tamir Hendelman, Stephan Oberhoff, Peisha McPhee, and Steve Genewick. https://lapianist.com/judy-whitmores-isnt-it-romantic/ .

This Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 8 pm, partially to celebrate the release of Judy's album, I'll be conducting 24 pieces of music that I co-orchestrated over the last few months with composer Michael Patterson, in concert with an amazing 15-piece orchestra accompanying Judy Whitmore and Billy Grubman singing songs from the Great American Songbook at Samueli Hall, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, in Costa Mesa, CA. For more information (including tickets), please click https://lapianist.com/samueli22/

On September 30, 2022, I played keyboards for a performance of Disney-Pixar's movie "Coco," live to picture, with a 70-piece orchestra conducted by Nolan Livesay, at Musco Center for the Arts on the campus of Chapman University in Orange, CA. Many more events and projects are coming up. I will be in touch again soon with more music news. If you have friends who might be interested in joining this list, please invite them to sign up at https://lapianist.com/join-email-list/

All the best to you!

Thanks very much.

Sincerely,
John Sawoski
