Good Afternoon LPMB Families!

 

I hope you had a chance to relax on Sunday!  A special thank you to the LPBA, our chaperones, volunteers, and crew—a tremendous team effort this weekend!

 

Below are several announcements to get you through the week:

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

Please take time to review our LPMB Rehearsal/Performance Schedule and compare it against your personal calendars to avoid conflicts.  Each LPMB member has a specific casted role in this year’s show (What Dreams May Come), and it is crucial to have the full group for all rehearsals and performances.  Please visit www.lakeparkband.com and sync your device with the LPMB calendar for the most up to date information.

Friday, October 25th

FRIDAY IS A NON-ATTENDANCE DAY!

Please bring your luggage to rehearsal.

12:00pm CST All students report to WC Band Room.  EC students should report directly to WC.

                        Everyone helps load equipment

                        7:05pm EST Band Report Time

 

7:15am                        Lake Park High School Lancer Marching Band Prelims Performance!  (Eastern Time Zone!)

 

8:30am                        Arrive at Boone County Fairgrounds

                        Everyone Unloads Equipment

                        Eat breakfast

                        Rehearsal

 

7:00pm                       Arrive at Lucas Oil Stadium to view Finals

(Based on the bus drivers’ schedule, we may not stay for the entirety of finals)

 

10:30pm         Arrive at Boone County Fairgrounds

11:30pm         Lights Out

 

 

Sunday, October 27th

 

**Times Dependent on Bus Driver’s arrival time, per DOT Regulations

 

Wake Up/Shower

Breakfast                   

9:30am                        Depart for Lake Park High School

                        Eat Lunch en Route (Provided)

                       

12:00pm CST Arrive at Lake Park High School

                        Everyone helps unload equipment

 

  

Please bring the following:

 

· Lunch (or Jimmy Johns) Friday (all other meals will be provided)

· All required uniform items in your bus bag (marching shoes, long black socks, LPMB blue tee shirt, etc.)

· Any medication needed for the weekend (daily and/or emergency use)

· Instrument, equipment, and all necessary accessories

· Sleeping gear in a cloth bag. NO plastic bags!

· Pillow and blanket for bus and rest time

· Clothes for two days (including clothes for rehearsals)

· Toiletries including soap, deodorant, toothbrush, bath towel, etc.

 

LPHS Band Day—LPMB In-School Field Trip Tuesday, October 29th

On Tuesday, October 29th, ALL LPMB students should report to the Band Room at the start of 5th Period (10:52), get their instrument and music, and head on to the auditorium stage for a brief warm-up prior to the performance.  East campus students will be bussed over in time for the warm-up.  EC Students should report outside to the busses right after 3rd period (10:36am) and will then return at approximately 12:30pm.  

The LPMB will perform a standstill performance of our show!  Students should wear their 2019 LPMB Shirts. Students should also plan to bring a lunch if this performance conflicts with their scheduled lunch period.
