Football Game Details (Friday, October 11th)

Call time is 6:30pm in the West Campus Band Room.  Please wear your 2019 LPMB shirt and shorts underneath your uniform—the forecast is mid-50s (dress in layers).  Additionally, please wear BLACK socks.  Color Guard, please ask Coach R for any specifics on uniforms.   We will perform the Entire Show!  Weather permitting, we will stay for the entirety of the game.  Students will be instructed to call home after the conclusion of the game—approximately 9:30pm.

 

Downers Grove South Music Bowl Competition (Saturday, October 12^th)

Eat Breakfast Prior to Arriving at LPHS.  BRING A SACK LUNCH FOR BUS—we will not eat until 4:00pm!

9:30am            Rehearsal—bring a sack lunch for the bus

10:15am          Everyone loads equipment on trucks—bring a sack lunch for the bus

10:30am          Change into uniform—bring a sack lunch for the bus      

11:50am          Meeting in Band Room (in uniform) —bring a sack lunch for the bus

11:00am          Depart for Downers Grove High School—1436 Norfolk St, Downers Grove, IL 60516 (Eat Sack Lunch on Bus)

11:45am          Arrive, check-in, and everyone unloads equipment

1:00pm             Warm-Up

2:00pm             Performance

Load gear

Head to Back to EAST CAMPUS

4:00pm             Dinner in Cafeteria (Provided)

This is a prelims/final format—we’ll head back to DGS, evening schedule TBA.

11:30pm         ESTIMATED Arrive at LPHS, everyone unloads equipment

**Please do not park on the right-side curb (closest to the school) of Lancer Lane during pick-up**

 

You will need:

·       All required uniform items (marching shoes, long black socks, 2019 LPMB blue T-Shirt, etc.)

·       Instrument, equipment, and all necessary accessories

·       Clothes for rehearsal (Please check the forecast)

·       Water for rehearsal

·       A light snack for the afternoon/evening

·       Dinner will be provided

·       PLEASE EAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST AND BRING A SACK LUNCH FOR THE BUS—WE WILL NOT EAT UNTIL 4:00pm. 

 

Students: You are an ambassador for our school the entire day. Adhere to The Lancer Way and be respectful of everyone you interact with at Downers Grove South High School. We are guests at a very prestigious event—please show your respect for this event and the Downers Grove South Marching Program by carrying yourself with pride, maturity, and humility.
