Good Morning LPMB Families!
Bands of America Grand National Championships RECAP and THANK YOU
Congratulations to our students on a fantastic weekend at the Bands of America Grand National Championships! 91 high school marching bands from around the country performed over the weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was a privilege to be part of that incredible experience—There were literally tens-of-thousands of parents, family members, friends, and fans alike in the stands all weekend. The band had a truly spectacular performance—clearly the best performance of the season! A video of the Grand Nationals Performance can be found HERE. LEGALESE: It is illegal download or repost this performance video due to copyright laws.
Three themes have remained consistent this season: 1) Our students’ performances continued to improve as the season progressed, 2) The Band Family strengthened throughout the season, and 3) Our students represented themselves in the absolute best way, carrying themselves with class and pride the entire season; they were respectful, responsible, and helpful. Bravo to our students!
A special thank you to our chaperones, headed up by Liz Proudfoot; our cooking crew, headed up by Blythe Cammy; the equipment crew, headed up by John Majovsky; the Lake Park Band Auxiliary, headed up by President, Julie Majovsky; the LPMB Staff, and all of the LPMB Parents for all they do for our students.
Marching Band Clean-Up Day (Wednesday, November 20th)
As we prepare to put the Marching Band Program in hibernation for the winter, your student’s help is required to clean, organize, and store the instruments and equipment. On Wednesday, November 20th from 3:30-5:00pm, all LPMB students are needed to help out. See you then!
LPMB Awards Night (Thursday, November 21st)
We will celebrate the many group and individual successes of our students at our annual LPMB Awards Night! All students and parents are invited to this celebratory event. Awards Night will start at 7:00pm in the WC Main Auditorium and should last approximately 60 minutes.
Congrats again and have a good week,
Mike
