Hello LPMB Alumni,
We are just about to finish our LPMB Band Camp season for 2018 and in the midst of planning our 40th Annual Joust!
This year has started out to be a historic year. The LPMB Lancers actually had TWO Band Camps this year. They started as soon as school got out in June for the first two weeks and are finishing another two week camp tonight. This year's show, SHIPWRECK, is four movements long and will boast some pretty impressive props, marching and music. We are very excited as the staff and students have been putting in an amazing effort to bring this show to life.
Also historic for this year is the 40th anniversary of the annual Lancer Joust. I am sure the Joust brings back a lot of memories, as do the days of LPMB for you all. With that, I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in placing a business or personal ad in this year's Joust Program. Last year we had a beautiful day, incredible competition and record crowds. We are hoping this year can top that considering it is a big anniversary. So mark your calendars for September 8th and join us if you can. It would be great to see and hear from our LPMB Alumni.
Attached you will find both the business and personal ad forms if you are interested. Please complete and mail to the PO Box as soon as possible. If you would like to participate, please also email the forms to
a...@lakeparkband.com. This will insure that we save your spot prior to receiving the check. Keep in mind, time is tight so please do this as quickly as possible.
If you are locally located and have nothing to do tonight come by LP West Campus stadium and take a peek at SHIPWRECK. We will be having our Community and Ice Cream Social tonight at 6:30pm.
Finally, find us on Social Media (Facebook, IG, Twitter and SnapChat). You will be the first to know about all things happening with your Marching Lancers.
Thank you in advance and remember Hearts on Fire, Minds on Ice; Not just a Band but Friends for Life.
Peace,
Julie Majovsky
