Crescent Drive, North Waterboro - Project Update

Our Public Works Crew has started work on the Crescent Drive Project. Please note:

  • Country Lane is CLOSED during construction hours.

  • Crescent Drive, from the Eagle View Court intersection to the cul-de-sac, is down to one lane.

We ask everyone to use extra caution while traveling in this area. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Thank you for your patience as we continue improvements in our community!

9/22/25 - Lake Arrowhead Flowage Update from Ledgemere Hydro

Ledgemere Hydro is providing this week’s update on reservoir conditions at the Ledgemere Dam Project.
Current Condition
  • The reservoir level has increased from 305.5 feet last week to 305.7 feet (~2.5 inches gain) as of September 18.
  • This is gradual progress, though the reservoir is still about 0.3 feet (4 inches) below the normal post-Labor Day operating level.
  • According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, York County remains in Severe Drought (D2) conditions, which continues to limit inflows despite occasional light rainfall.
  • To support recovery, we are continuing to manage water under the 90/10 inflow allocation plan, balancing reservoir refill with downstream flow requirements.
Repairs and Improvements
  • Both gates remain secure following recent repairs, with very minor to no leakage observed.
  • A new staff gauge will be installed following a survey to ensure accurate placement.
  • A new monitoring sensor (SCADA transducer) will be installed and calibrated by the end of September. In the meantime, our team is cross-checking readings to ensure accuracy.
Community and Environment
  • No environmental impacts have been observed.
  • Boating and fishing remain limited in shallow areas due to the lower water level.
  • We will continue to provide weekly updates until the reservoir returns to its normal operating range.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we manage through these challenges and ongoing drought conditions.
Sincerely,
