WATER MAIN REPAIR UPDATE

The water main on Old Portland Road has been successfully repaired, and water service has been restored. Our Public Works crew is now working to repair the road and will reopen it as soon as possible.

BOIL WATER NOTICE

If your home lost water at any time during today's repair, please boil your water until further notice before using it for:

* Drinking

* Cooking or food preparation

* Making ice

* Brushing teeth

* Washing fruits and vegetables

* Preparing infant formula

Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute, then allow it to cool before use.

If you are unsure whether your home lost water service, we recommend boiling your water as a precaution until the advisory has been lifted.

BROWN OR DISCOLORED WATER

Some residents may notice brown or discolored water following the repair. This is caused by naturally occurring minerals being stirred up in the water mains and is temporary. Running your cold water for several minutes will usually clear the discoloration. Avoid doing laundry until your water runs clear.
