Hello LAC and LACC Members,
As part of our ongoing partnership with the Maine DEP and our PALZ Team, we are sharing with you the current plans for treating Brittle Naiad with AquaStrike on Lake Arrowhead scheduled for August 7th .
Attached are three notices from Maine’s DEP. The letter from the DEP will serve as notice to shoreline residents of the areas identified to be treated. The MAP provides the planned treatment area for 2025, and the areas treated in 2024 and 2023. The Posting note provides the information regarding water usage post treatment. LACC will be posting the notices along impacted member beaches.
The Maine DEP is on Sokokis Lake in Limerick today treating their lake for Brittle Naiad. Naiad is a threat to our lakes and we at LACC appreciate the support of the DEP, LAC and our PALZ Team for all their efforts in combating these invasives.
