I took the liberty of spending 15 minutes with the web site this morning and giving it a bit of a makeover. I removed a ton of stale content and made it more of a timeless web site rather than a stale attempt at a living website.
I also added a trivial dynamic calculation for the next meeting date, rather than the hard-coded text for the next meeting date (which required manual updates). This way, at least the web site doesn’t look like it’s from 2002!
Further pull requests — particularly from people who actually have talent making web sites look good (which I do not!) — are definitely welcome! The web site is currently using VuePress static web site generator, but we are not tied to that tech stack (although if you want to change the tech stack, please also change the corresponding GitHub actions accordingly). Using *some* static web site generator is strongly preferred, though, because we use the free web hosting at GitHub.
